After driving around the Cabot Trail, we arrived in New Brunswick.  We had a decision to make.  Do we now drive straight back home, or do we go up north and around that peninsula in Quebec?  It seemed like it would be a nice drive at the very least, so we decided to do it.  Little did we know what was waiting for us in The Beauty of Quebec’s Gaspe Peninsula.

Before we headed there though, since the weather was nice, we thought we’d visit Kellys Beach in Kouchibouguac National Park.  It was day 23 of our east coast trip and we still haven’t had a beach day!  Today was our lucky day.  It was warm, and the beach was lovely.

After the beach, we headed to Miscou Island Lighthouse.  We could see on our boondocking app that many car campers highly recommeded this spot for an overnight stay.  We were not disappointed.  There were many campers in cars, RV’s, vans and even tents.

Our next night was also pretty incredible.  We ended up at a place called Anse a Dominique.  We arrived early, loved the spot and spent the rest of the day here.  We felt like we were in heaven

On the most northern end of the Gaspe Peninsula there is Forillon National Park.  It’s full of gorgeous landscapes, waterfalls, trails and of course, Cap-des-Rosiers Lighthouse!

The rest of the drive around the top end of the peninsula was absolutely beautiful.  Most of the road is right along the seashore.  There are tons of gorgeous rest stops all along the way.  We took our time and enjoyed this part of the province immensely.  The Gaspe Peninsula is definitely Quebec’s best kept secret!
