We arrived from Newfoundland in the early evening.  Our next adventure is to drive the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island, but first we must find a boondock spot to spend the night.  Our iOverlander app suggest a place called Indian Brook, not too far from where the ferry dropped us off in North Sydney.  It turned out to be a perfect spot!

We got an early start the next morning.  We began our drive going north, on the east side of Cape Breton Island.  The landscape was stunning.  It was a gorgeous day with the bluest skies and the most beautiful water.  We made many stops along the way to admire the scenery.

We arrived in Meat Cove in the late afternoon, and found the most amazing spot.  We decided to stay.  It was a clearing on a cliff, and from what we read online, it is the foundation of where a lighthouse used to be.  We cooked our dinner, saw some eagles flying by, and watched one of the most incredible sunsets from the cozy comfort of our car camper.  This spot is one that we will always remember.

The next morning we woke up to grey skies and rain.  We took our time driving south on the west side of Cape Breton Island.  We stopped now and then when there was a break in the rain.
